Connect with other parents, share your concerns, get encouragement, and be a part of our non-judgmental community!

Telic Empowerment aims to not just provide resources and workshops, but also an environment where parents can receive support, from other parents of children and adults, diagnosed with a disability. It is our desire to create an empowering atmosphere and open forum, where parents can connect, laugh, cry, discuss relevant topics, facilitated by a trained leader, and feel welcomed and refreshed. It is also our goal that each parent leave with additional education, encouragement, resources and new friends. Normally, childcare is provided at our face to face meetings, for your exceptional child and siblings, at no cost, and parents can also enjoy a light brunch! We are embracing our new normal until this pandemic is over. In order to make this support group a success, we would love your feedback and attendance! Please share any other topics that you would like to see discussed, in order to make this group more meaningful. If you are interested, please fill out the form below, include any topics in the message area, and we look forward to meeting you soon!

Gateway Community Care Launch Day

We had an AMAZING time today at the park. We started the day with my speaking engagement for Telic Empowerments Parent Empowerment group. There I introduced GCC, our vision, and how we plan to impact the community with our respite care services. Shortly after, the party began! We were able to speak with many families in the community, gave away over 50 backpacks full of school supplies, and made some great connections. The launch of GCC and the Back to School Bash was a true success! I am incredibly thankful for all those who donated and for EVERYONE who came to volunteer and show support. Please continue to look out for the major things that GCC will be doing in your community!

Our First Annual Christmas Giveaway

December 25, 2021

We had the pleasure of hosting 6 families for the holiday season. During this time, each family was nominated by their community to receive various gifts prepared for their individual needs. All families were given gifts of things they specifically asked for while others received sponsored meals, gift cards, and free respite care services! I want to think my team for taking the time to shop and arrange all the gifts for the families. As the founder, I had the pleasure of traveling to each families home to spend quality time with them and drop off their things. It was amazing to watch the smiles on their faces as they lit up with excitement. They were so grateful and I was thankful to be in the position to give and make someone else’s life a little easier. Thank you to all those that donated, the holiday giveaway was a success. As we close out this year, I pray you all have what you need going into the new year. GCC is now preparing to continue providing respite care services in 2022. Happy Holiday and Happy New Year ✨
